Imaging Guided Aspiration and Biopsy

Abstract
The 136 cases underwent sonoguided, fluoroguided and CT guided aspiration & biopsy.
All cases were analyzed by different regions, imaging modalities and different needles.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN In thorax(77 cases), fluoroguided aspiration & biopsy were most efficient method. But CT-guided aspiration & biopsy can be used in difficult cases under the fluoroguidance. 19.5G-21G vacucut needles were ideal for cytology, biopsy and could
decrease
the complication such as pneumothorax.
In abdomen & pelvis(41 case), sonoguided aspiration & biopsy were most convinient and feasible method. The use of 19.5-21G vacucut needle is adequate for handing & tissue biopsy.
In musculoskeletal system (5 cases0, 16G screw needles were useful under CT-guidance.
In head & neck (13 cases), ultrasonoguided or CT-guided aspiration & biopsy was feasible method.
IV needle with syringe was more useful than vacucut needle for the majoriry of neck mass, which was thyroid cytic lesion.
